An overview of setting up your webchat widget, including branding, color customization, and greeter. Features vary by subscription tier.

How to find customization settings

Customize your widget by logging into your Ikeono account and clicking on:

  1. Click on your name (top right) > Account settings.


  2. Click on Website Widget under Features.

How to customize your webchat

1) Choose button type

Choose between a “Text Us” button to encourage engagement or a compact button for a minimalist look.

2) Choose color palette

Set the button and overall accent color, then choose a text color that ensures clear readability.

💡Pro tip: Choose a color that contrasts well with your accent color for clear readability.

4) Choose button placement and behaviour

Adjust button placement to the left or right and fine-tune positioning to avoid covering important elements on your website.



Choose whether the webchat opens by default or stays minimized until clicked.

4) Enable Google tools ✨

Showcase your reputation by displaying Google Reviews in Webchat or enable Google Analytics for valuable insights.

5) Customize greeter

Available in Standard and up: Use the default greeter message or, with Premium, customize the the greeter message and add your logo or photo of a team member.


6) Select location availability

Select one or multiple locations where your webchat will be available.

7) Automate webchat reply

Set up an automated reply to acknowledge webchat messages, giving your team time to respond while keeping customers engaged.

💡Pro tip: Set up an after-hours reply to let customers know you're closed and when to expect a response.

Navigate to Account Settings > General > After hours response

8) Email notification

Set up one or more emails to receive notifications for new Webchat messages.

9) Click Save & Add code to your website
