Quick Answer:
To connect Ikeono to Lightspeed R-Series, go to Account Settings > Integrations in Ikeono, select Lightspeed R-Series, and authorize the connection from your Lightspeed account. Then map your Ikeono locations to your Lightspeed locations and save.
How It Works:
Ikeono connects to Lightspeed R-Series through an API authorization for things like work order automation, text receipts/quotes, and review/nps automations — you grant Ikeono access through the Lightspeed oAuth process, and then tell Ikeono which of your locations match up to which Lightspeed locations. This is the one-time integration setup that links the two systems' data together.
Log in to your Ikeono account.
Open Account Settings > Integrations
Click your name in the top right corner, then go to Account Settings > Integrations.Select Lightspeed R-Series
Click Lightspeed R-Series to pair Ikeono with it.Click Connect Lightspeed R-Series
Log in to your Lightspeed R-Series account
You'll be prompted to log in with your Lightspeed credentials.Authorize the connection
Click Authorize Application to grant Ikeono access to your Lightspeed account.Map your Ikeono locations to your Lightspeed locations
Match each Ikeono location to the corresponding Lightspeed location.Click Save.
If It Isn't Working
If you don't see Ikeono within Lightspeed: This is expected at this stage — completing the API connection above does not make Ikeono appear inside Lightspeed. The merchant still needs to install the Ikeono browser extension for their browser (Chrome or Firefox) before any messaging will show up. Direct them to:
Authorize Application fails, or Lightspeed doesn't redirect back to Ikeono: This usually means the person doing the connection doesn't have the necessary Lightspeed permissions. Either their Lightspeed employee permissions need to be updated, or someone with Lightspeed admin access needs to complete the connection instead.
Wrong Ikeono location mapped to the wrong Lightspeed location: This can always be updated later — it's not a one-time, locked-in choice.
Confirming the API connection succeeded: Once connected, the merchant's Lightspeed locations will appear as options in Ikeono. If they don't see their Lightspeed locations listed, the connection didn't go through.
Reconnecting Lightspeed or adding a new location: Yes, the integration needs to be redone in these cases. This can happen if the employee who originally connected it is removed from Lightspeed, if the OAuth authorization is revoked in Lightspeed, or if Lightspeed revokes it automatically because the account is in a pending state (e.g., during contract negotiations).
If the connection still won't complete: Chat with Ikeono support and include a screenshot of any error they're seeing.
